4017B Shotgun Microphone
A combination of the MMC4017 microphone capsule and the MMP-B
preamplifier with filters, the 4017B Shotgun Microphone is part of the
Pencil Microphone Series
Performance
The supplied calibration chart shows the specially tailored individual
frequency response of the MMC4017 capsule, measured with a linear
MMP-A preamp.
Typical on- and o-axis frequency response of 4017B (MMC4017+MMP-B)
Filters
DPA 4017B features a permanent third-order 50 Hz low cut and two
switchable filters, which are controlled at the switchable rings. No tools
are needed to activate the filters, use fingers only.
High boost: a 4 dB boost at 8 kHz.
Low cut: a first order (6 dB/oct) bass roll-o below 120 Hz.
