This device is intended to be used with a Class 2 power
source or Class 2 transformer in accordance with UL1310 or
UL1585.
As an alternative a LV/C (Limited Voltage/Current) power
source with one of the following properties can be used:
– This device shall be used with a suitable isolating source
such that the maximum open circuit voltage potential
available to the product is not more than 24 V DC and the
current is limited to a value not exceeding 8 amperes
measured after 1 minute of operation.
– This device shall be used with a suitable isolating source
in conjunction with a fuse in accordance with UL248. The
fuse shall be rated max. 4 A and be installed in the
24 V DC power supply to the device in order to limit the
available current.
In determining the acceptability of the combination, the
following detail should be examined:
– These devices are intended and investigated for use with
CP String from Festo Programmable controllers only.

1 Funktion
Das CPI-Modul CP-A08-M12-EL-Z ist ausschließlich bestimmt
für den Einsatz an einem CP-Strang von Festo. CPI-/CP-
Module sind nur folgendermaßen zu benutzen:
– bestimmungsgemäß
– im Originalzustand, ohne eigenmächtige Veränderungen
– in technisch einwandfreiem Zustand
Das CPI-Modul CP-A08-M12-EL-Z unterstützt CPI-Systeme mit
erweiterter Funktionalität.
2 Anwendung
Es sind die angegebenen Grenzwerte für Temperaturen, elek-
trische Daten, Drehmomente usw. einzuhalten. Ausführliche
Informationen finden Sie in der Beschreibung
Typ P.BE-CPEA-CL-... (Kombinierte Beschreibung für CP-CL und
CP-EL-Module).
3 Einbau und Inbetriebnahme
Hinweis..................................................
Schalten Sie vor Installations- und Wartungsarbeiten
folgendes aus:
– Druckluftversorgung
– Betriebs- und Lastspannungsversorgung.
– Befestigung des Moduls: Mit integrierter Hutschienenbefe-
stigung (mit beigefügtem Befestigungs-Set) oder Wand-
montage.
– Befestigung der Schilderträger 7: An integrierten Auf-
stecknuten an Längs- und Schmalseite. Schilderträger aJ
können Sie über die Teilenummer 547473 (Typ ASCF-H-E2)
bestellen.
Wenn Sie in einem CP-Strang ein CPI-Modul einsetzen wollen,
gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
• CPI-Modul montieren.
• CP-Kabel anschließen.
• Lastversorgung Ausgänge anschließen
• Spannungsversorgung am CPI-Master einschalten.
• Automatische Erkennung der Strangbelegung am CPI-
Master mit SAVE-Taste oder DIL-Schalter durchführen.
Beachten Sie die Anwenderdokumentation des Masters.
• CPI-Master neu starten (Power OFF/ON).

ca. 30 mm.

1 Function
CPI module CP-A08-M12-EL-Z is intended exclusively for use
on a CP string from Festo. CPI/CP modules may only be used
as follows:
– as designated
– without any modifications by the user.
– in faultless technical condition
CPI module CP-A08-M12-EL-Z supports CPI systems with
extended functions.
2 Application
The maximum values specified for temperatures, electrical
data, torques etc. must be observed. Detailed information
can be found in the manual
type P.BE-CPEA-CL-... (combined manual for CP-CL and CP-EL
modules).
3 Installation and commissioning
Note......................................................
Before carrying out installation and maintenance work,
switch off the following:
– the compressed air supply
– the operating and load voltage supplies.
– Fastening the module With integrated hat rail fastening
(with fastening set supplied) or wall fitting.
– Fastening the inscription plate 7: Onto integrated
clip-in grooves on the long and narrow sides. Inscription
plates aJ can be ordered under part number 547473
(type ASCF-H-E2).
If you wish to insert a CPI module in a CP string proceed as
follows:
• Fit the CPI module.
• Connect the CP cable.
• Connect the load supply for the outputs.
• Switch on the power supply on the CPI master.
• Carry out automatic recogniton of the string assignment
on the CPI master with the SAVE button or with the DIL
switch. Observe the instructions in the user documenta-
tion for the master.
• Start the CPI master again (Power OFF/ON).
Fig. 1 shows the module dimensions. The module is
approx. 30 mm high.

3 Montering och idrifttagning

– Tryckluftsmatning
– Matnings- och lastspänningsförsörjning
– Fastsättning av modulen: Med integrerat reläskenfäste
(med bifogat monteringsset) eller väggmontage.
– Skylthållarfäste 7: På integrerade insticksspår på längssi-
dan och smalsidan. Skylthållare aJ kan beställas med arti-
kelnummer 547473 (typ ASCF-H-E2).
Gör så här om du vill sätta in en CPI-modul i en CP-sträng:
• Montera CPI-modulen.
• Anslut CP-kabeln.
• Anslut Matningsförsörjning utgångar.
• Koppla till spänningsförsörjningen till CPI-mastern.
• Utför automatisk registrering av strängschemat på CPI-
mastern med knappen SAVE eller DIL-omkopplare. Följ
manualen för mastern.
• Starta om CPI-mastern (Power OFF/ON).

1 Función
El módulo CPI CP-A08-M12-EL-Z ha sido diseñado exclusiva-
mente para su aplicación en un ramal CP de Festo. Los módulos
CPI/CP sólo pueden utilizarse como se indica a continuación:
– conforme a lo previsto
– en su estado original: sin modificaciones no autorizadas
– en perfectas condiciones técnicas
El módulo CPI CP-A08-M12-EL-Z soporta sistemas CPI con
funciones ampliadas.
2 Aplicación
Se han de respetar los valores límite indicados para tem-
peraturas, datos eléctricos, pares de apriete, etc. Encontrará
información detallada en la descripción.
Tipo P.BE-CPEA-CL-... (descripción combinada para CP-CL y
módulos CP-EL).
3 Montaje y puesta a punto
Importante:.............................................
Antes de realizar trabajos de instalación y mantenimiento,
es preciso desconectar lo siguiente:
– Alimentación de aire comprimido
– Alimentación de la tensión de carga y de servicio.
– Fijación del módulo: con fijación en perfil DIN integrada
(con juego de fijaciones suministrado) o montaje mural.
– Fijación del portaetiquetas 7: a las ranuras de sujeción
integradas en los lados longitudinal y estrecho. Se puede
pedir el portaetiquetas aJ indicando la referencia 547473
(tipo ASCF-H-E2).
Para instalar un módulo CPI en un ramal CP, proceda de la
siguiente forma:
• Monte el módulo CPI.
• Conecte el cable CP.
• Conecte la alimentación de carga para las salidas.
• Conecte la alimentación al máster CPI.
• Lleve a cabo un reconocimiento automático de afecta-
ción de los ramales en el máster CPI con la tecla SAVE o
el interruptor DIL. Tenga en cuenta el manual del máster.
• Reinicie el máster CPI (Power OFF/ON).
La figura 1 muestra las medidas del módulo. La altura del
módulo es de aprox. 30 mm.

1 Fonction
Le module CPI CP-A08-M12-EL-Z est destiné exclusivement à
une installation sur une branche CP de Festo. Utilisez les
modules CPI/CP uniquement de la façon suivante :
– conformément à l’usage prévu,
– dans leur état d’origine sans modifications non autorisées,
– dans un état technique irréprochable.
Le module CPI CP-A08-M12-EL-Z prend en charge les systè-
mes CPI disposant de fonctions étendues.
2 Application
Respectez toujours les valeurs limites de température, de
données électriques, de couples, etc. indiquées. Vous trouve-
rez des informations complètes dans la description.

CP-CL et CP-EL).
3 Montage et mise en service
Nota......................................................
Avant toute intervention d’installation ou de maintenance,
coupez :
– l’alimentation pneumatique
– l’alimentation en tension de service et en tension sous
charge.
– Fixation du module : avec fixation sur rail intégrée (avec kit
de fixation fourni) ou montage sur panneau.
– Fixation du porte-étiquette 7: au niveau des rainures em-
boîtables sur le côté longitudinal et sur le côté étroit. Vous
pouvez commander le porte-étiquette aJ à l’aide de la
référence 547473 (type ASCF-H-E2).
Si vous souhaitez installer un module CPI sur une branche CP,
procédez de la façon suivante :
• Montez le module CPI.
• Raccordez le câble CP.
• Connectez les sorties alimentation de puissance.
• Mettez l’alimentation électrique au niveau du maître CPI
sous tension.
• Effectuez une reconnaissance automatique de l’affecta-
tion des branches sur le maître CPI à l’aide de la touche
SAVE ou du micro-interrupteur DIL. Respectez la notice
d’utilisation du maître.
• Redémarrez le maître CPI (Power OFF/ON).
La fig. 1 indique les dimensions du module. Le module a une
hauteur d’env. 30 mm.

1 Funzione
Il modulo CPI CP-A08-M12-EL-Z è stato realizzato solo per
l’impiego su una linea CP Festo. Utilizzare i moduli CPI/CP
solo nel modo seguente:
– per gli usi consentiti
– nello stato originale, senza apportare modifiche arbitrarie
– in condizioni tecnicamente perfette
Il modulo CPI CP-A08-M12-EL-Z supporta i sistemi CPI con
funzionalità ampliata.
2 Applicazione
Attenersi ai valori limite indicati per temperature, dati elet-
trici, momento di coppia ecc. Informazioni dettagliate sono
riportate nella descrizione dei moduli
tipo P.BE-CPEA-CL-... (descrizione combinata per i moduli
CP-CL e CP-EL).
3 Montaggio e messa in servizio

Prima di eseguire le operazioni di installazione e
manutenzione, disattivare quanto segue:
– Alimentazione di aria compressa
– Alimentazione della tensione d’esercizio e di carico
– Fissaggio del modulo: con fissaggio su guida profilata integrato
(con kit di fissaggio allegato) oppure montaggio a parete.
– Fissaggio dei portaetichette 7: nelle scanalature integrate
sul lato lungo e su quello corto. I portaetichette aJ pos-
sono essere ordinati con il codice prodotto 547473 (tipo
ASCF-H-E2).
Se si vuole inserire un modulo CPI in una linea CP procedere
nel modo seguente:
• Montare il modulo CPI.
• Collegare il cavo CP.
• Collegare le uscite alimentazione di carico.
• Inserire l’alimentazione di tensione al master CPI.
• Eseguire il riconoscimento automatico della configura-
zione della linea al master CPI mediante il tasto SAVE o
l’interruttore DIL. Attenersi alla documentazione utente
del master.
• Eseguire un restart del master CPI (Power OFF/ON).
La figura 1 mostra le misure del modulo. L’altezza del modulo
è di circa 30 mm.
