10. Do not heat paraffin wax on stove or in microwave. The paraf fin unit is
regulated at an even temperature to prevent scalding.
11. Do not operate unit without paraffin wax.
12. Do not pour melted paraffin wax from the unit.
13. Do not add water, lotions or any other additives to the wax.
14. Do not use if you have any skin irritations, rashes, cuts, burns, or warts.
15. Place foot in unit only while seated. Do not stand in unit.
16. Do not soak or immerse unit in water. See MAINTENANCE for
cleaning instructions.
17. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter where it can be
pulled on by children or tripped over.
18. Do not use an extension cord with this appliance.
19. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
20. This appliance has no user-serviceable parts.

INSTRUCTIONS
DANGER – This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If is still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
CAUTIONS
1. This product should not be used in the following cases unless
directed by a physician: Tuberculosis, benign and malignant tumors,
hemorrhages, inflammations of the skin, phlebitis and thrombosis,
open and fresh wounds, bruises, broken skin or varicose veins.
2. Consult your physician should you have any questions regarding product’s
therapeutic use.
3. In case of pregnancy, diabetes, or illness, consult your physician before
using product.
4. Do not use in the presence of any unexplained pain before consulting
your physician.
5. Use of product should be pleasant and comfortable. Should pain or discomfort
result, discontinue use and consult your physician.
6. Do not fall asleep while using this product.
7. Keep away from children. This unit is not a toy. Children should not use it or
play with it.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
(Paraffin wax included)
1. Place unit on a stable, level surface at a height that is convenient for treating
the desired area.
2. Remove lid from unit.
3. Place 1 lb. wax in the unit.
4. Place lid on unit. Lid should fit securely on unit.
5. Plug unit into electrical outlet (120V AC/60 Hz). Switch on the unit. The
indicator light will illuminate.
6. 1 lb. of wax will take approximately 90 minutes to melt. Operate the appliance
only with wax level below the MAX indicator located on the inside of the unit.
TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
1. Wash hands or feet thoroughly. Check to make sure that you have no cuts or
visible patches of sensitive skin.
2. Remove any jewelry and roll up long sleeves or pant legs.
3. If you are sensitive to temperature, test the wax before beginning. Simply dab
a bit onto the inside of your wrist. It should be very warm to the touch, but not
uncomfortable. DO NOT DIP YOUR HAND/FOOT IN WAX IF IT IS TOO HOT.
4. With fingers/toes slightly apart, immerse hand/
foot slowly into wax in paraffin spa unit (Fig. 1).
5. Immediately pull your hand/foot out, being sure to
maintain the open-finger/toe position. Wait 3 to
5 seconds until the paraffin loses that “wet” look
and then dip again. Try to immerse your hand/

foot to the same depth each time, so the lip of the
wax “glove” thickens uniformly.
6. R epeat this process until 5 layers have been formed. Additional layers can be
added to retain heat longer.
7. Wrap hand/foot in plastic wrap (not included).
8. Sit down and relax for 10–15 minutes while the
warm paraffin wax continues to release heat to
soothe and soften the skin.
9. Remove plastic wrap once you no longer feel any
heat.

wrist/ankle and pulling it downward, like a glove
(Fig. 2).
10. Discard the plastic and wax. If only one person intends to use this unit,
you may wish to recycle the wax by returning it to the unit.
11. Return lid to unit, switch the unit to OFF and unplug. Allow unit and wax
to cool before storing.
MAINTENANCE
After about 12 paraffin treatments or when visible evidence of debris occurs,
the unit should be cleaned and the paraf fin wax should be replaced.
1. Unplug unit and remove lid and wax.
2. I f wax is still hot, wait until it solidifies. Push on one end of the wax block to
lift up. DO NOT USE SHARP OBJECT. Remove wax and discard.
3. Clean inside of the unit with a light household cleaner and wipe dry.
4. Once unit is thoroughly clean and dry, place lid on unit and store. Do not add
new paraf fin wax until you are ready to use.
REPLACEMENT
Conair® Paraf fin Spa Replacement Kit (Model# RP-PB8NR) is available through
the Conair® Service Center at 1-800-326-6247 and at www.conair.com. The kit
includes 1 lb. of wax and 10 disposable liners. When adding wax to the unit,
do not fill over the MAX mark.
LIMITED ONE YEAR WARRANTY
Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your unit free of charge for
12 months from the date of purchase if the appliance is defective in workmanship
or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return the defective product to the service
center listed below, together with your purchase receipt and $12.00 for postage
and handling. California residents need only provide proof of purchase and should
call 1-800-366-0937 for shipping instructions. In the absence of a purchase
receipt, the warranty period shall be 12 months from the date of manufacture.
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS, OR LIABILITIES, INCLUDING
BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL BE LIMITED IN DURATION TO
THE 12-MONTH DURATION OF THIS WRITTEN, LIMITED WARRANTY. Some
states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the
above limitations may not apply to you.

OPERACIÓN
PELIGRO – El cable de este aparato está dotado de una clavija polarizada
(una pata es más ancha que otra). Como medida de seguridad, se podrá enchufar
de una sola manera en la toma de corriente polarizada. Si no entrara en la toma
de corriente, inviértela. Si aún no entrara completamente, comuníquese con un
electricista. No intente ir en contra de esta función de seguridad.
PRECAUCIONES
1. No utilice este producto si usted padece de cualquiera de los problemas
siguientes: Tuberculosis, diabetes, tumor benigno o maligno, hemorragia,
inflamación de la piel, flebitis o trombosis, heridas abiertas o nuevas,
moretones, úlceras de la piel (ampollas) o venas varicosas.
2. Pida consejo a su médico si tiene alguna pregunta relativa al uso terapéutico
de este producto.

5. El uso de este producto debería ser agradable y cómodo. Deje de usarlo y pida
consejo a su médico en caso de dolor o incomodidad.
6. No se quede dormida/o durante el uso.
7. Manténgalo fuera del alcance de los niños. Este producto no es un juguete. No
permita que un niño lo use o juegue con él.
INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
(parafina incluida)
1. Coloque la unidad sobre una superficie llana y estable, a una altura cómoda
para tratar el área deseado.
2. Retire la cubierta del aparato.
3. Coloque un bloque de parafina de 1 libra (455 g) en la unidad.
4. Cierre la cubierta. Asegúrese de que la cubierta esté debidamente puesta.
5. Enchufe el cable en una toma de corriente de 120V C.A./60 Hz. Encienda el
aparato. El indicador luminoso se encenderá.
6. Permita que la parafina se derrita. Esto debería demorar aproximadamente 90
minutos. Asegúrese de que la parafina no pase del nivel MAX antes de usar el
baño.
TRATAMIENTO
1. Lave cuidadosamente sus manos/pies. Cerciórese que no tiene cortaduras o áreas
sensibles visibles.
2. Retire sus alhajas y enrolle las mangas largas o las piernas de los pantalones.
3. Si usted es sensible al calor, pruebe la temperatura de la parafina antes de empezar
el tratamiento, colocando unas gotas de parafina en el interior de su muñeca. La
parafina debería estar caliente, pero no incómoda. NO SUMERJA SU MANO/PIE EN
LA PARAFINA SI ESTÁ DEMASIADO CALIENTE.
4. Abra ligeramente los dedos y sumerja lentamente su mano/pie en el baño
de parafina (Fig.1).
5. Retire inmediatamente su mano/pie de la
parafina, manteniendo los dedos abiertos. Espere
3–5 segundos, hasta que la parafina seque
ligeramente, y luego vuelva a meter la mano/
el pie en el baño de parafina. Procure sumergir

su mano/pie a la misma profundidad cada vez
para que la orilla del "guante" de parafina se espese uniformemente.
6. Repita este proceso varias veces, formando 5 capas de parafina. Si desea,
puede añadir más capas, para que la parafina permanezca caliente por
más tiempo.
7. Envuelva su mano/pie en una película de plástico (no incluida)
8. Siéntese y relájese durante 10–15 minutos mientras la parafina tibia calma y
suaviza la piel.
9. Cuando la parafina esté fría, retire la película de
plástico.
Mueva los dedos para aflojar ligeramente la
parafina y luego pele
la parafina, empezando desde la
muñeca/el tobillo y jalando hacia los dedos (Fig. 2).
10. Tire la película de plástico y la parafina. Si solamente

una persona usa el baño de parafina, se puede
"reciclar" la parafina, regresándola en el baño después del uso.
11. Cierre la cubierta, apague (OFF) el aparato y desconecte el cable de la toma
de corriente. Permita que el aparato y la parafina enfríen antes de guardar
el aparato.
INSTRUCCIONES
DE MANTENIMIENTO
Después de aproximadamente 12 tratamientos, o cuando la parafina parece sucia,
limpie la unidad y reemplace la parafina.
1. Desconecte el aparato y retire la cubierta.
2. Si la parafina aún está caliente, espere hasta que se solidifique. Presione un
lado del bloque de parafina para alzarlo. NO UTILICE OBJETOS AFILADOS. Retire
la parafina del baño y tírela.
3. Limpie el interior de la unidad con un limpiador doméstico ligero y séquelo con
un paño limpio.
4. Una vez que la unidad está limpia, cierre la cubierta y guárdela. No reemplace
la parafina hasta el momento de usar.

conair.com. Cada kit incluye un bloque de parafina de 1 libra (455 g) y 10 forros
de plástico. Cuando llene el depósito de parafina, no pase la línea MAX .
