IMPORTANT SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, especially when
children are present, basic safety precautions should

even when the switch is off. To reduce the risk of death

a Conair Service Center for examination and
repair.
5. This appliance is equipped with a safety
thermostat. In the event of overheating, the
appliance will either stop automatically or run hot
and cold intermittently. Should this happen, slide
the switch to the OFF position, unplug, and allow
dryer to cool for 10 minutes. Before use again,
ensure the rear filter is clear of hair and other
debris. Plug in and switch on. If the appliance
continues to overheat, discontinue use immediately,
unplug, switch off, and contact the Customer
Service at 1-800-3-CONAIR.
6. Always ensure that the rear air filter is kept away
from hair during use to prevent hair from getting
pulled into the fan, which may cause the appliance
to overheat.
7. If wearing jewelry when using this appliance, in
particular necklaces and/or earrings, take care
so that these items do not get caught in the brush
head.
8. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. Do not
pull, twist, or wrap line cord around dryer, even
during storage.
9. Never block the air openings of the appliance or
place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch,
where the air openings may be blocked. Keep the
air openings free of lint, hair, and the like.
10. Never use while sleeping.
11. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
12. Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol
(spray) products are being used or where oxygen
is being administered.
13. Do not use an extension cord to operate dryer.
14. Do not direct hot air toward eyes or other heat-
sensitive areas.
15. Attachments may be hot during use. Allow them
to cool before handling.
16. Do not place appliance on any surface while it is
operating.
17. Do not use with a voltage converter.
18. This appliance is not a toy. Keep away from
children.

CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY TIME
YOU USE THE APPLIANCE.
This appliance is equipped with an auto-monitoring
Appliance Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a
safety feature that provides protection against
electric shock under abnormal conditions, such
as immersion in water. To ensure that the ALCI is
functioning properly, perform the following test.
1. Plug in the appliance with the power off and
press the ALCI test button (see diagram).
2. If the ALCI is functioning properly, there will be
an audible click, the reset button will pop out, the
LED indicator will be off, and the appliance will not
turn on.
3. To reset the ALCI, unplug the unit. Then press
the reset button and plug the unit back into the
outlet. The appliance should work normally when
switched on.
4. Be sure to repeat this test each time you use the
unit to confirm that the ALCI is operating properly.
5. If the appliance shuts off and the reset
button pops up during use, this could indicate a
malfunction. Remove the plug from the outlet and
allow the appliance to cool. Press the reset button
and plug appliance into the outlet. The appliance
should function normally. If not, send it to an
authorized service center for evaluation.
6. IF THE UNIT HAS BEEN IMMERSED IN
WATER, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RESET AND USE
THE APPLIANCE. IT SHOULD BE SENT TO AN
AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER IMMEDIATELY.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
• Ensure hair is towel-dried and combed
through to remove excess water and any
tangles. Divide hair into sections to prepare for
drying/styling.
• Use the Drying Wand without an attachment
to dry the hair. To style, attach preferred
brush head onto the handle. To remove and
attach attachments, refer to the “Changing the
Attachments” section.
• Slide the switch to the ON position and select
a temperature and airflow setting suitable for
your hair type. A blue LED light Please note:
will illuminate below the air outlet to indicate
the anti-frizz ionic feature is activated.
• After use, slide the switch to the OFF position
to switch off and unplug the appliance.
• Allow the appliance to cool before storing.
CHANGING THE
ATTACHMENTS
• With the hooks on the rear of the attachment
located at the top, position the attachment over
the air outlet. At a slight angle, with the bottom
of the attachment touching the appliance,
gently push the top of the attachment onto the
handle until it clicks into place.
• To remove an attachment, press and hold
the release button at the top of the handle
and gently pull the attachment away from the
handle.
NOTE: Please be careful not to touch the
surround of the air outlet, as it will be hot after
use.
STYLING GUIDE
Your best looks begin with a good haircut that’s
well maintained. Always care for your hair with
superior-quality shampoos, conditioners, and
finishing products
DRYING
• Use the Drying Wand without an attachment
to dry hair.
• Direct the airflow down the hair shaft to
smooth the section as you dry.
• For a lasting style, select the cool setting
and gently blow through warm hair to set and
smooth.
• Repeat for each section of hair.
STRAIGHTENING BRUSH
• Place the brush head underneath or over a
section of hair, close to the scalp with the firm
bristles pointing upward.
• Using the brush over the hair section will help
to detangle and straighten thinner hair.
• Place the brush underneath the hair section to
help straighten thicker hair and add volume.
• Use your other hand to pull the hair section
taut against the brush head until the firm
bristles penetrate through the hair.
• Gently glide the brush head through the
section creating tension and control through the
hair to straighten the section as you dry.
• For a lasting style, select the cool setting and
brush through warm hair to set and smooth.
• Repeat for each section of hair.
VOLUMIZING BRUSH
• Place the brush head underneath a section of
hair, close to the scalp with the flexible bristles
pointing upward.
• Use this brush head to lift hair at the roots.
Hold for a few seconds to boost volume at the
roots as you dry.
• Slowly move the brush head down through
each section to dry, adding shape and volume.
• For a lasting style, select the cool setting and
brush through warm hair to set and smooth.
• Repeat for each section of hair.
STYLING PICK
• Place the styling pick head underneath or
over a section of hair, close to the scalp and
pointing upward.
• Use the styling pick head to lift hair at the
roots. A natural combing action will fluff the
hair.
• Slowly move the styling pick head down
through each section to style.
• For a lasting style, select the cool setting and
comb through warm hair to set and smooth.
• Repeat for each section of hair.
AIRFLOW/TEMPERATURE
SETTINGS
There are 3 airflow settings and 4 temperature
settings, including a cool setting.
When initially turning on the Drying Wand, the
default airflow and temperature setting will
activate—Airflow: I and Temperature: I. 
Memory Function: When turning on the Drying
Wand again, the settings will default to the last
settings used before turning wand off.
To set the airflow, press the airflow button until
the desired airflow speed is reached. A white
LED will illuminate to indicate each of the 3
airflow speeds.
To set the temperature, press the temperature
button until the desired setting is reached. A
red LED will illuminate to indicate each of the 3
heat settings. Press the button a fourth time to
activate the cool setting — the 3 LED lights will
change from red to blue.
When choosing a temperature setting to dry
and style your hair, start with the lowest setting
and increase as needed. If you have delicate,
fine, bleached, or colored hair, use the lower
heat settings. For thicker hair, use the higher
heat setting.
Use the cool setting on warm hair to set your
style.
ULTRA-CARE
To activate the advanced ultra-care mode,
press and hold down the temperature setting
button for 1–2 seconds until the temperature
LED lights alternate between red and blue to
indicate the airflow is cycling between hot and
cool. To turn off the ultra-care mode, press
the temperature button once to return to your
chosen heat setting.
ANTI-FRIZZ TECHNOLOGY
Advanced plasma technology combines positive
and negative ions to eliminate frizz and
flyaways.
REMOVABLE MAGNETIC
FILTER
A clean filter optimizes the dryer's airflow for
fast drying performance, and the removable
magnetic filter makes cleaning easy.
Clean the filter every month. Gently wipe away
any built-up debris with your fingers or a dry,
soft cloth.

OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use. Use on
Alternating Current (60 hertz) only. Standard dryers
are designed to operate at 110 to 125 volts AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug
will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it
still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do
not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
IMPORTANT
Use of this dryer on the same circuit or fuse with other
electrical products or appliances may trip a 15 amp
circuit breaker or blow a 15 amp fuse.
NEVER replace the fuse with one rated higher than
the capacity of the circuit. Doing so could result in
an electrical fire.

DE USO
Para uso doméstico solamente. Úselo solamente
con corriente alterna (60Hz). Este aparato p1-ha sido
diseñado para funcionar con corriente de 110-125V
AC.
El cable de este aparato cuenta con un enchufe
polarizado (una pata es más ancha que la otra). Como
medida de seguridad, se podrá enchufar de una sola
manera en las tomas de corriente polarizadas. Si
no entra en la toma de corriente, inviértalo. Si aun
así no entra completamente, comuníquese con un
electricista. No intente modificar esta función de
seguridad.
IMPORTANTE
Usar este aparato en el mismo circuito o con el mismo
fusible que otros aparatos podría activar el disyuntor/
interruptor de circuito de 15 amperios o quemar un
fusible de 15 amperios.
NUNCA reemplace el fusible por uno de mayor

PRUEBE EL INTERRUPTOR DE CONTROL DE

Este aparato cuenta con un enchufe equipado con un
interruptor de control de potencia automático (ALCI,
por sus siglas en inglés), una función de seguridad
que brinda protección contra descargas eléctricas
en condiciones anormales, p.ej., si el aparato se
cae al agua. Haga la prueba siguiente antes de cada
uso para comprobar que el interruptor de control de
potencia funcione correctamente:
1. Enchufe el aparato (apagado) y presione el botón
de prueba (véase la ilustración).

CÓMO CAMBIAR LAS
ACCESORIOS
• Con los ganchos de la parte trasera del accesorio
situados arriba, coloque el accesorio por encima
de la salida de aire. Sosteniendo el accesorio
ligeramente inclinado, con la parte inferior en
contacto con el aparato, empuje suavemente la
parte superior del accesorio sobre el mango hasta
que encaje en su sitio.
• Para quitar un accesorio, mantenga presionado
el botón de liberación en la parte superior del
mango y jale el accesorio.
NOTA: Tenga cuidado de no tocar el borde de la
salida de aire, p1-ya que estará caliente después de
su uso.
GUÍA DE PEINADO
La mejor apariencia empieza por un corte de
cabello bien mantenido. Siempre cuide su cabello
con champús, acondicionadores y productos de
peinado de calidad superior.
SECADO
• Para secar el cabello, use el secador sin ningún
accesorio puesto.
• Seque cada sección, dirigiendo el aire hacia
abajo y moviendo el secador hacia las puntas.
• Para resultados más duraderos, termine con un
chorro de aire frío para fijar el peinado.
• Repita con cada sección de cabello.
ALISADO
• Coloque el cepillo alisador debajo de la sección
de cabello, cerca del cuero cabelludo, con las
cerdas apuntando hacia arriba.
• Pase el cepillo por encima de la sección de
cabello para desenredar y alisar el cabello fino.
• Pase el cepillo por debajo de la sección de
cabello para alisar el cabello más espeso y dar
volumen.
• Con la otra mano, estire el cabello hacia abajo a
través de las cerdas.
• Deslice suavemente el cepillo hacia las puntas,
ejerciendo tensión y control sobre el cabello para
alisar la sección mientras la seca.
• Para resultados más duraderos, termine con un
chorro de aire frío para fijar el peinado.
• Repita con cada sección de cabello.
VOLUMEN
• Coloque el cepillo voluminizador debajo de la
sección de cabello, cerca del cuero cabelludo, con
las cerdas apuntando hacia arriba.
• Levante cabello para dar volumen a la raíz.
Déjelo en esta posición por uno segundos para
levantar las raíces.
• Deslice lentamente el cepillo hacia las puntas

PEINE DESENREDADOR/
ESTILIZADOR
• Coloque el peine estilizador debajo de la
sección de cabello, cerca del cuero cabelludo, con
las cerdas apuntando hacia arriba.
• Levante cabello para dar volumen a la raíz.
Un movimiento de peinado natural esponjará el
cabello.
• Mueva lentamente el peine hacia las puntas para
desenredar el cabello

CALOR/FLUJO AIRE
REGULABLES
El aparato cuenta con 3 opciones de flujo de aire y
4 opciones de calor, incluyendo aire frío.
Al encender el aparato por primera vez, se
activarán los ajustes por defecto de calor y flujo de
aire por defecto: “I”. 
Función de memoria: Al volver a encender el
aparato, los ajustes volverán a los últimos ajustes
usados
Para ajustar el flujo de aire, presione
repetidamente el botón de control del flujo de aire
hasta que el indicador LED blanco correspondiente
al ajuste deseado se encienda.
Para ajustar el calor, presione repetidamente el
botón de control del calor hasta que el indicador
LED rojo correspondiente al ajuste deseado se
encienda. Para activar el aire frío, presione el botón
4 veces; el indicador rojo se pondrá azul.
Se recomienda empezar a secar/peinar el cabello
con el ajuste de calor más bajo, y aumentar el
calor según sea necesario. Si su cabello es fino,
frágil, teñido o decolorado, use el ajuste más bajo.
Si su cabello es grueso/espeso, use el ajuste más
alto. Use el aire frío para fijar el peinado.
MODO DE ULTRACUIDADO
Para activar el modo de ultracuidado, mantenga
presionado el botón de control del calor por 1-2
segundos, hasta que los indicadores LED alternen
entre rojo y azul, lo que indica que el flujo de
aire está alternando entre caliente y frío. Para
desactivar el modo de ultracuidado, presione el
botón de control del calor una vez para volver al
ajuste de calor usado.

USER MAINTENANCE
For proper operating performance and to increase
the life span of your dryer, it must be kept clean.
It is especially important to keep the inlet filter
clean.
When cleaning is needed, unplug the cord, allow
dryer to cool, and clean dust and lint from air
intake openings with a small brush or the brush
attachment of a vacuum cleaner. Clean the
removable magnetic inlet filter every month.
Gently wipe away debris with your fingers or a dry,
soft cloth. The outer surface of the dryer should be
wiped clean with a cloth only.
Blocked or clogged air intake vents will cause
the dryer to overheat. If overheating occurs, an
automatic safety device will shut the dryer or the
heat off to prevent damage or personal injury. If
the unit or the heat turns off, unplug the cord and
allow the dryer to cool for 10 to 15 minutes before
restarting. Make sure the air vents are clean.

NEVER allow the power-supply cord to be pulled,
twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the cord
tightly around the dryer. Damage will occur at the
high flex point of entry into the dryer, causing the

if damage is visible or unit stops or operates
intermittently.
If the cord or dryer is damaged or does not operate
properly, return it for repair to an authorized Conair
Service Representative only. No repairs should be

MANTENIMIENTO
Para un funcionamiento óptimo y una larga vida,
mantenga el aparato limpio. Es especialmente
importante mantener limpio el filtro.
Cuando sea necesario limpiarlo, desenchúfelo, deje
que se enfríe y quite el polvo y las pelusas de los
orificios de ventilación con un cepillo pequeño o
el cepillo accesorio de una aspiradora. Limpie el
filtro magnético removible una vez al mes. Limpie
suavemente los residuos acumulados con los
dedos o con un paño suave seco. La superficie
exterior del secador solo se debe limpiar con un
paño limpio.
El secador se recalentará si los orificios de
ventilación están obstruidos o tapados. Si
esto sucede, un sistema de seguridad apagará el
secador o cortará la temperatura automáticamente
para evitar daños al aparato o lesiones. En caso de
que esto suceda, apague el aparato, desenchúfelo
y deje que se enfríe por 10-15 minutos.
Compruebe que los orificios de ventilación estén
limpios.
PRECAUCIÓN
NUNCA jale, retuerza ni doble mucho el cable.
Nunca lo enrolle con fuerza alrededor del aparato;
