IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse the blender
base in water or other liquid.
3. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or
near children.
4. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off
parts, and before cleaning.
5. Avoid contacting moving parts.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or
after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any
manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for
examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
7. The use of attachments including canning jars not recommended by
the appliance manufacturer may cause hazards.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot
surfaces.
10. Keep hands and utensils out of container while blending to prevent
the possibility of severe personal injury and/or damage to the
blender. A rubber scraper may be used but must be used only
when the blender is not running.
11. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
12. If your blender utilizes a removable jar base and blade assembly, to
avoid injury never place cutting assembly cutting blades on base
without container properly attached.
13. Always operate blender with cover in place.
14. When blending hot liquids, remove center piece of two-piece cover
on those units supplied with this construction. See Hot Blending

Ship blenders for repair to the above address or to an Authorized
Service Center. Do not ship to a Waring Sales Ofîce.
Note: If your application involves the processing of biologically
active materials we request that any items returned for service
be sterilized before being shipped. Such items must be clearly
identiîed as having been sterilized both by a tag on the item itself
and by a statement in the accompanying correspondence. Waring
will not accept delivery of any returns unless they are so identiîed.
Replacement parts for your own âOut of Warrantyâ repairs are
obtainable at the above address.
WARRANTY
Waring warrants every new WARING COMMERCIAL BLENDER to be free from
defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of
purchase when used with foodstuffs, non-abrasive liquids (other than detergents)
and non-abrasive semi-liquids, providing it has not been subject to loads in excess
of the indicated rating.
Under this warranty, the Waring Commercial Division will repair or replace any part
which, upon our examination, is defective in materials or workmanship, provided the
product is delivered prepaid to the Waring Service Center at Torrington, CT 06790,
or any Factory Approved Service Center.
This warranty does not: a) apply to any product which has become worn, defective,
damaged or broken due to use or due to repairs or servicing by other than the
Waring Service Center or a Factory Approved Service Center or due to abuse,
misuse, overloading or tampering; b) cover consequential damages of any kind.
This warranty gives you speciîc legal right, and you may have other rights which
vary from state to state so that certain limitations or exclusions set forth above may
not apply to you.
WARNING: This warranty is VOID if appliance is used on Direct Current (D.C.) or if
the appliance has not been registered.

Operation
This piece of equipment is designed for the high speed blending,
pulping, mixing or reducing of animal tissue, vegetables, foodstuffs,
plant materials and other substances. A typical operating sequence is
as follows:
1. Add materials to be processed to container.
2. Place cover on container.
3. With the power switch on OFF position, place container on
blender. Be sure container is fully seated and the drive coupling
is properly engaged.
4. Set power switch to ON, Low or High position.
5. When înished processing, set power switch to OFF position.
6. Allow motor to come to a complete stop before removing
container from blender.
Note: Containers with removable bottoms have left-handed threads.
To tighten, turn in direction of molded arrow on underside of removable
bottom. When reassembling, be sure rubber gasket is positioned
between the container and the îange on the blade assembly.
Important
HOT BLENDING INSTRUCTIONS
To minimize possibility of scalding when blending hot materials, the
following precautions and procedures must be observed.
1. Limit amount of material processed to 1/2 pint.
2. Completely remove the center portion of the two-piece container
lid before starting motor. (This will allow venting of the rapidly
heated and expanding air present inside container when blender
is running.)
3. Always start blending lowest speed setting, then progress to
desired speed.
4. Never stand directly over blender when it is being started or while
it is running.

Grounding Instructions

If a grounding-type outlet is not available, an adapter, shown in Figure 2, may
be obtained to enable a 2-slot wall outlet to be used with a 3-prong plug.
Referring to Figure 3, the adapter must be grounded by attaching its
grounding lug under the screw of the outlet cover plate.
Before using an adapter, it must be determined that the outlet cover Caution:
plate screw is properly grounded. If in doubt, consult a licensed electrician.
Never use an adapter unless you are sure it is properly grounded.
Note: Use of an adapter is not permitted in Canada.

lâappareil au centre de service autorisĂ© le plus proche pour quâil soit
vĂ©riîĂ©, rĂ©parĂ© ou que les Ă©lĂ©ments Ă©lectriques ou mĂ©caniques soient
ajustés.
7. Lâutilisation de tout accessoire, incluant les contenants de mise
en conserve, non recommandĂ© par le fabricant de lâappareil peut
provoquer des dangers.
8. Ne pas lâutiliser Ă lâextĂ©rieur.
9. Ne pas laisser le cordon pendre au bord de la table ou du comptoir ni
toucher des surfaces chaudes.
10. Garder les mains et les ustensiles loin du contenant en mélangeant
pour éviter la possibilité de blessures graves et/ou des dommages au
mélangeur. On peut utiliser un grattoir en caoutchouc, mais seulement
lorsque le mélangeur ne fonctionne pas.
11. Les lames sont tranchantes. Manipuler avec soin.
12. Si votre mélangeur utilise un assemblage de lame et de base du
contenant amovible pour Ă©viter les blessures ne jamais placer les lames
de coupe de lâassemblage de coupe sur la base sans le contenant bien
installé.
13. Toujours faire fonctionner le mélangeur avec le couvercle en place.
14. En mélangeant les liquides chauds, retirez la piÚce centrale du
couvercle Ă deux piĂšces de ces appareils fournies avec cette
construction. Reportez-vous aux instructions de mélanges chauds.

centre de service approuvé en usine.
Cette garantie ne : a) sâapplique pas Ă tout produit qui est devenu usĂ©, dĂ©fectueux,
endommagé ou brisé suite à une utilisation ou à cause de réparations ou de réparations
