Q: The Helix Dura is getting very warm. Is this normal?
A: Yes, the Helix Dura is made from Aluminum, which absorbs and
dissipates heat. This prevent the internal components from overheating
and allows for extended life and performance.
Q: Is the Helix Dura compatible with Thunderbolt ports?
A: The Helix Dura is compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and 4 ports using the
included USB-C adapter. It is not compatible with Thunderbolt 1 or 2.
Q: The speed is not as fast as expected. Why?
A: To experience the fastest capable speed, the Helix Dura must be
connected to a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 port, or a USB 3.2 Gen2 port (10Gbps).
A USB 3.0 port is limited to 5Gbps (~500 MB/s). For best performance, we
recommend using the cables included with the Helix Dura.

Using USB-C
• Connect the included USB C-C cable to a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 or 4 port
on the host computer.
Using USB-A
• Connect the included USB C-A cable to a USB port on the computer.
(3) Connecting the Helix Dura
The drive is pre-formatted as exFAT, which is compatible with Windows
and Mac OS. Simply connect the Helix Dura to the computer and it will
appear and be ready for use.
The Helix Dura does not include backup software. For data backup, we
recommend the apps within Windows and Mac.
